I am excited to announce that I will be interning at Burns and McDonnell in their mechanical engineering internship program in the Columbus, Ohio office for the summer of 2026. Upon returning from Frankfurt, I will be working in their mission critical division with Global Facility Services, focusing on designing and sizing mechanical systems for their clients as one of the largest EPC firms in the United States.

Hands Free Kitchen Timer

For my mechanical design class, I designed the software using an Arduino Uno to create a pre-production prototype handless kitchen timer. It utilizes an ultrasonic sensor for distance sensing and can be used for not only those with dirty hands, but also disabled people and elderly with issues being tactile.

Fisher Global Consulting Program

I participated in the Fisher Global Corporate Consulting Program in Frankfurt, Germany. For the month of May, I was the project manager and technical lead for a team of 3 students consulting with the international marketing agency for the region. After assessing the company, we made a recommendation to our client to implement an AI scoring system for leads, and I developed the initial model and workflow for them.

We presented our findings and recommendations to the CEO and Frankfurt office of the company.

I have been selected to participate in the 2025 STEP program through the Ohio State University. This program has funded my international travel to Frankfurt, Germany for the month of May.

During this time, I will be working on a team of students to provide consulting and marketing services to a local foreign investment agency.

Baja SAE Business Presentation

Throughout the year, I joined the new business sub-team for Baja SAE and worked under guidance from the president of Baja Buckeyes and the Formula SAE team’s business lead to develop an RFP document for the business presentation portion of the competition, as well as an oral presentation that placed 10th out of 76 teams at the Oregon Competition.

Software Development Project: Blackjack Study Game

In my first semester of college, I partnered with fellow engineering student James Butts to create a blackjack game, with the twist that flashcards can be imported to help one study, “gamifying” the study process.

We were ultimately voted as best software in the class of 36 honors students, and presented to a panel at a showcase of the best projects from each section of stuents within the College of Engineering.
